PREMIER MEETS D.MEDVEDEV

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag met Wednesday with his Russian counterpart Mr D.Medvedev after taking part in an expanded meeting of the 11th Prime Ministerial Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. N.Altankhuyag noted that an 2009's official visit Mr Medvedev paid to Mongolia as the President gave an impetus to determining of tendencies and prospects of the Mongolia-Russia relations and cooperation. He said that the development of the relations with the neighbor countries in all sectors is one of the priorities of Mongolia's foreign policy concept, and expressed a willingness of the cabinet for reforms to intensify the bilateral relations and cooperation and to promptly solve urgent problems. The Premier went on that the two sides must make efforts to discuss and tackle problems, facing the both countries, at the 14th intergovernmental commission meeting of trade, economics, science and technical cooperation expected December 19-21 this year in Ulaanbaatar. Then the PMs touched upon issues of "Erdenet" Mining Corporation, the "Mongolrostsvetmet" and the Ulaanbaatar Railways. Here Mr Medvedev said Russia is ready to collaborate with Mongolia in tackling these matters. B.Khuder
