King hails Ministry's efforts to recruit citizens

Riyadh, October 25, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has expressed appreciation for the
efforts exerted by the Ministry of Labor to reduce the rate of
unemployment and to recruit citizens in line with the directives
pertaining to the recruitment of the citizens.


The King's remarks were made in a cable of reply to Dr Ghazi
Al-Quseibi, the Minister of Labor, who had sent a message earlier to
the King.


In his message, Dr Al-Quseibi said the rate of unemployment has
remarkably dropped.


The message said the rate of unemployment for the males has dropped
from 8 percent to 6.9 percent, while the unemployment of females has
dropped from 26.6 to 24.9 percent.


Accordingly the number of the unemployed Saudis, males and females,
has dropped from 453,994 to 400,019.
