ADB TO HELP RE-DEVELOP GER AREAS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will invest USD 700 million to Ulaanbaatar for implementing projects on improving the city's engineering network and the Ger-Area Improvement Action Plans to be effective for ten years. A related memorandum of understanding on technical assistance for the capital city's capacity and on Urban Development Programme of Ulaanbaatar was signed Tuesday by E.Bat-Uul, the Governor of Ulaanbaatar city, and by Arnaud Heckmann, a specialist of the ADB's East Asia Department on Urban Development. In frames of the Urban Development Programme of UB, the ADB will make the investment to develop ger areas of the city in the first turn, especially some 280 hectares areas in specific ger areas will be re-developed.
