Azerbaijan’s non-oil GDP ups by almost 10 percent

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec.13 /Trend J. Nasibova / Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 1.2 percent in January-November 2012 and hit 48.2 billion manats compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Thursday. The volume of GDP per capita was 5.253.9 manat ($66,868). Value added production in the non-oil sector increased by 9.7 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 24.7 billion manats, while in oil and gas field it reduced by 6.5 percent. Over the 11 months of this year, the added value in industrial field accounted for 50.5 percent of GDP, the construction sector- 9.9 percent, agriculture, fisheries and forestry - 5.7 percent, trade and repair of vehicles -6.7 percent, transport and warehousing -4.8 percent, communications and information - 1.8 percent, tourist accommodation and catering - 1.5 percent, social support and other services - 12.7 percent. Compared to same period in 2011, the value added production in construction field increased by 23.1 percent, communications and information- 16.8 percent, tourist accommodation- 15.7 percent, trade and repair of vehicles- 9.4 percent, agriculture, fisheries and forestry- 5.7 percent, transport and warehousing- 2.5 percent, social support and other services - 3.3 percent.
