Saudi Student feted for excellence in scientific innovation

Jeddah, Oct 26, SPA -- A Saudi student has attained a scientific
achievement at the international level.

A report published today by "Asharq-al-Awsat" Arabic newspaper,
Bassil Abdulaziz al-Mahman has prepared a project, which is the first
of its kind that helps in the preservation of the environment against
methane gas which causes the phenomenon of global warming.


Bassil Al-Mahman from the Jeddah-based Dar-al-Fikr schools, ranked
the third at the world level at the fourth international festival for
scientific innovation, 2008.
The festival ended its activities in Seoul last Wednesday.


Bassil al-Mahman said his project is pertaining to the consumption
of the natural resources without being aware of the consequences and
the role of that consumption in the global warming.
