Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA - Head of Drug Control Division of Iran's Police Force Brigadier Ali Moayedi said on Sunday that Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan are among the major victims of the fight against drug trafficking.
He made the remarks in a meeting with experts from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan known in Tehran on Sunday.
The three countries are among major victims of narcotic drugs in the region, he said.
The world admits that Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan have suffered many loses in their struggle with drug trafficking, he said.
Such a complicated problem should be solved through collective cooperation of all countries, he said.
Expecting others to help resolve the issue is very good but this cannot solve the problem by itself, he said.
Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan as members of the United Nations can cooperate in their campaign against drug trafficking, he said./end
