PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE HEAD MEETS JAPAN'S DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A head of the Presidential Office P.Tsagaan Tuesday received a delegation of Shizuoka prefecture of Japan. An executive head of the prefecture's Department for Urban Development Yano Hironori gave to Mr Tsagaan a document on granting musical instruments to Mongolian side on occasion of the 40th anniversary of Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations. Then Mr Hironori thanked the Presidential Office head for the audience, said he is glad to grant this document and hoped this will contribute to the friendship between Shizuoka prefecture and Mongolia. “Our prefecture has been cooperating with Mongolia in many spheres, for example, with Dornod aimags for almost three years,” Mr Hironori said. The bilateral ties will strengthen through culture and arts, he believes. In response, Mr Tsagaan emphasized that Japan has rendered the largest amount of aid and assistance to Mongolia since it transmitted into democracy and market economy. “In the last 22 years, almost two third of the total loans and assistance has been given by Japan alone,” he stressed. He expressed a satisfaction with an intensive development of the bilateral relations and cooperation in all sectors such as trade, economics, culture and art. B.Khuder
