VACANCIES MIGHT BE CREATED BY SUPPORTING AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Industry and Agriculture has calculated that 25 thousand job places could be created if 200 billion togrogs' bonds are issued as a support for the leather products manufacture.
The head of this Ministry Kh.Battulga said it during a discussion of a draft resolution on the bonds at a joint meeting of the parliamentary Standing committees on budget and on economy on Tuesday. He added that the bonds will give its yield by the year 2016.
As the draft resolution shows, the five-year maturity bonds will be issued to give MNT 140.4 billion and MNT 59.6 billion to leather products businessmen as soft loans and to herdsmen as incentives who distribute leather to manufacturing factories.
The meeting decided to set up a related working group on these bonds.
S.Byambatsogt MP asked about results of 300 billion togrog bonds that had been issued to back the cashmere producers.
To this Mr Battulga replied that small- and middle-sized businessmen took loans and incentives from this issuing. As a result, the cashmere producers prepared 2,168 tons of cashmere, exploiting 50 percent of their capacity, also 1,540 job places were created, he said.
The wool production sector also had achievements, he went on, for example, the producers took 16,400 tons of wool from herdsmen this year thanks to loans and incentives, besides, six wool scouring plants are being constructed in localities, he said.
S.Byambatsogt MP proposed to issue bonds of 100 billion for supporting the milk productions.
