M.ENKHSAIKHAN RECIEVES WORLD ECOLOGICAL SAFETY AWARD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A former PM of Mongolia M.Enkhsaikhan has received the "World ecological safety award" from International Eco-Safety Cooperative Organization (IESCO). M.Enkhsaihan has been also appointed the member of board of administration of the IESCO for the second time. The IESCO has published in Mongolian language a book "Main issues on eco-safety". The IESCO aims to maintain ecological safety, tackle climate change, handle ecological crisis, and gradually achieve the sustainable development of economy, society, and ecology through cooperation with political parties, councils, and governmental bodies, as well as national think tanks around the world. Global Ecological Safety Council is the highest authority of IESCO, responsible for the principal affairs of the organization. The organization also holds the World Ecological Safety Assembly and Euro-Asia Ecological Safety Forum every two years. In recent years, ecological crises and the outbreak of unexpected eco-disasters have posed a serious threat to human survival and development which cannot be controlled by any single country or region alone. IESCO was initiated by scientists from China, Russia, USA, India and other nations. With the support and involvement of UN agencies, IESCO was established as a inter-governmental international organization in China on July 2006 according to the UN Millennium Development Goals.
