E.BAT-UUL RECEIVES SPANISH DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city, Mr E.Bat-Uul received Mr Emilio Acensio, the director of Spanish "Grupo ACS". The Spanish delegation expressed an interest to cooperate with the city in its public transport. Mr Asencio said a magnet train in the public transport service is useful in terms of reducing both traffic jams and air pollution. “This kind of train needs shorter time and three-four times less cost than metro," he said and asked the Mayor to give them an opportunity to run a research into the UB city's public transport so as to make a project. In response, Mr Bat-Uul thanked for this initiative and said that the Urban Planning, Architecture and Design Institute is making research in developing the public transport, and that after its results a meeting will be run with all those interested and a selection will be made.
