MPP FACTION HOLDS MEETING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its first meeting on Monday, the faction of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) considered as necessity to work out a draft law on prohibiting MPs from transmitting to another political party/force after having being elected the MP.
"If such a phenomenon will take ground, the principle of gaining the political authority through the elections might be destroyed," the faction's head N.Enkhbold stressed.
The gathered also concluded that it would be right to increase a number of members of parliamentary Standing committees in a scope of amending the laws on the State Great Khural and on regime of parliament. N.Enkhbold and Ts.Dashdorj have been ordered to draw up the amendments to these laws. Apart of this, the faction decided to work out and submit to parliament a bill on developing a mechanism for a parliament minority to monitor over the majority.
