NAT'L COMMITTEE OF GENDER MEETS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A regular meeting of the National Committee of Gender (NCG) took place Monday in the State House under a chairmanship of L.Gansukh, an advisor to the PM and deputy head of the NCG.
The gathered presented a new composition of the NCG--24 members representing state and civil society. Chaired by Premier N.Altankhuyag, the new composition has been set up by the #98 governmental resolution of 2012.
Moreover, the meeting concluded the 2012 action report and approved a plan for the next year. It also considered the law on ensuring gender equality and a four-year strategic plan for realizing this law, adopted by parliament in 2011 and due January of 2013.
In respect of this law, state administrative central organization and local administrative organizations must give their reports on gender equality by February 10, so the attendees of the meeting emphasized an importance of warning authorities of soums and city's districts about implementing the law.
As the meeting's participants decided, a draft middle-term strategic document on realizing the law on ensuring a gender equality will be submitted to the cabinet. It has reflected responsibilities of all-level governmental organizations in implementing the law.
