Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A FIDE master S.Bilguun and his young brother S.Chinguun won gold medals in the 8th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2012 which was held December 13-20 in Delhi, India.
They competed in the boys' U15 age category of rapid contest and U7 standard contest.
This year's tournament attracted some 400 pupils from 12 countries, competing in standard, rapid and blitz contests.

The 22nd chess tournament named after Chin Van Khanddorj was concluded December 23. It was dedicated to the 101st anniversary of contemporary Diplomatic Service in Mongolia.
The tournament attracted 70 players, including six international grand masters, 19 FIDE masters, 11 sports masters, 23 deputy masters of sports and six State Honored Sportsmen.
A gold medal was grabbed by U.Nasanjargal. He was followed by G.Monkhgal, B.Khatanbaatar, Ts.Batchuluun and D.Erkhembayar. Special prize went to B.Mongontuul and J.Lhagva.
Co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mongolian Chess Federation events ran first time in 1991 for the birth anniversary of Chin Van Khanddorj.

Our boxers have grabbed five gold and one silver medals in an international tournament named after an international master of sports and academician Aleksandr Strelnikov
It took place December 21-24 in Ulan-Ude city, Russia. Meanwhile, young boxers of Mongolia won eight gold medals in the Boxing Junior Championships of Ulan-Ude.
