Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A FIDE master S.Bilguun and his young brother S.Chinguun won gold medals in the 8th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2012 which was held December 13-20 in Delhi, India. They competed in the boys' U15 age category of rapid contest and U7 standard contest. This year's tournament attracted some 400 pupils from 12 countries, competing in standard, rapid and blitz contests. ** ** ** The 22nd chess tournament named after Chin Van Khanddorj was concluded December 23. It was dedicated to the 101st anniversary of contemporary Diplomatic Service in Mongolia. The tournament attracted 70 players, including six international grand masters, 19 FIDE masters, 11 sports masters, 23 deputy masters of sports and six State Honored Sportsmen. A gold medal was grabbed by U.Nasanjargal. He was followed by G.Monkhgal, B.Khatanbaatar, Ts.Batchuluun and D.Erkhembayar. Special prize went to B.Mongontuul and J.Lhagva.
