Georgian rescuers find bodies of two climbers caught in avalanche

Georgian rescuers have found the bodies of two Russian alpinists who were caught in an avalanche while descending from Mkinvartsveri peak yesterday.
As the Emergency Situations Department of the Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend, on Friday morning, two groups of rescuers were sent via helicopter to the site where the avalanche occurred.
Four Russian alpinists, 44-year-old Sergei Stepanov, his sons 17-year-old Stepan and 19-year-old Max, as well as family friend 42-year-old Sergei Movchan were caught in an avalanche in the Kazbegi region of Georgia. The alpinists came from the Rostov region. Only the 19-year-old boy survived.
Rescuers found the body of Stepan Stepanov and Sergei Movchan. Search operations are currently underway for the last missing climber, Sergey Stepanov.
