Georgian parliament’s spring session to open today

Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb.5 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia / Spring session of the Georgian parliament will open today. It is planned to hold meetings of the committee on legal issues and parliamentary bureau on the first day of the session. The committee meeting is scheduled for 13:00, while the meeting of the bureau will be held at 16:00. According to the rules of the Georgian Parliament, the spring session opens on the first Tuesday of February and closes on the last Friday of June. During the spring session the parliamentary majority is going to take some important decisions. In particular, the question is about the planned amendments to the constitution, updating the Labor Code, legislative packages on general courts and the prosecutor's office, the plan of reforming the electoral law, etc. The main event of the first week of the spring session of the parliament will be Georgian President's speech with a traditional annual report.
