Head of EU delegation says Armenia`s Metsamor Nucleur Power Plant located in seismic danger zone

Baku, February 15 (AzerTAc). Head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, ambassador Roland Kobia has said Metsamor Nucleur Power Plant of Armenia is located in a seismic danger area. Speaking at the presentation of the Twinnig Project “Strengthening of Radiation Safety Infrastructure and Development of Supporting Services of the Azerbaijan Republic”, Kobia noted the facility posed a threat to Azerbaijan too. “We want Metsamor Nucleur Power Plant to suspend its activity. It`s already technologically outdated.” Kobia said that because of seismic danger the European Union was trying to assist Armenia in closing the power plant.
