Iran’s average diesel oil consumption falls

Iran's average diesel oil consumption stood at 99.8 million litres per day in the week to February 8.
The amount shows a 4.4 per cent decrease compared to the preceding week, the IRNA News Agency reported.
Deputy Manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) Naser Sajjadi said on October 22, 2012 that on average some 92 litres of diesel oil were consumed daily in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20, 2012.
The amount is 4.2 per cent more that the same period previous year.
Iran's average gasoline consumption also stood at 63.7 million litres per day in the week to February 8.
According to Sajjadi, an average of some 64 million litres of gasoline were also consumed during the first seven months of the current year which is 5.7 per cent more than the previous one.
Sajjadi had previously said that Iran's gasoline consumption increases by five per cent each year.
