Nahyan welcomes Northern Michigan University team

Abu Dhabi, Feb 28, 2013 (WAM) - Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research discussed yesterday with the visiting delegation of Northern Michigan University, led by its president Dr. David S. Haynes, prospects of joint academic cooperation in scientific research and student exchange programmes. Sheikh Nahyan spoke during the meeting about the UAE's commitment to ensuring quality assurance and efficiency of education so as to groom a qualified generation capable of taking leadership roles in building the nation. The US university team has visited the UAE University in Al Ain, Zayed University and Higher Colleges of Technology. Scores of UAE students are attending the US university. Northern Michigan University is a dynamic four-year, public, co-educational university which offers 180 degree programs to 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
