FNC refers draft amended law on anti human trafficking of 2006 to the legal committee

Abu Dhabi, March 10, 2013 (WAM) The Federal National Council (FNC) approved during its seventh session held on Feb 12, 13, 19 and 20, the referral of the draft federal law of year 2013 on the amendment of some provisions of the federal law No. /51/ of year 2006 on anti human trafficking to the legislative and legal affairs committee. The explanatory memorandum on the draft law referred by the government to the FNC on Feb. 18, 2013, affirmed that the situation has recently necessitated the introduction of amendments to some articles of the Federal Law No. /51/ of 2006 on combating human trafficking crimes to ensure maximum protection for victims of trafficking in harmony with the international conventions and treaties joined by the UAE. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
