Indian Muslim Leader Terms US Pressure On Iran To Halt Nuclear Activities As Attitude Of Enmity

New Delhi, April 9, IRNA – Terming the US pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear activities as “attitude of enmity”, an Indian Muslim leader Monday asked the US to change its deplorable attitude.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Zafrul Islam Khan, President of All India Muslim Majlis Mushawwarat (AIMMM) here said: “Mounting US pressure, although has no effects on Iran’s pace of development, is a politically motivated attempt to deprive Iran of its rights under the NPT”. And this reflects the US’ attitude of enmity, he added.
Elaborating on his statement, the AIMMM leader said that the root cause is the defeat faced by the US after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. He further said that Islamic Revolution called for the overthrow of capitalism, imperialism, Zionism and social injustice in the Middle East, in particular and around the globe in general. While the US is adept in worshiping these damn policies. “Basically, the US is not against Iran’s nuclear program as it (the US) knew that Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. “All these baseless accusations against Iran were motivated to internationally isolate Iran which is standing like “Wall of China” in between the US’ wishes to dominate the whole region.
“If not so, then why not the US is endorsing the stance of the Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei in which he has called for the elimination of all the nuclear weapons, wherever those exists,” noted Indian Muslim leader.
He said that what is being witnessed is a heightened aggressiveness by the US against Iran because of its attitude of enmity and to get into a commanding position for access and control over the oil and natural gas resources of the country, no nuclear nothing else.
Zafrul maintained that Iran is a responsible country. In fulfilling its international obligations it has become the lone country which has allowed maximum number of inspections into its nuclear plants to prove its good will to the IAEA. “No evidences were found that the country is engage in developing nuclear arsenals. But, the US having hostility towards Iran, is preventing the IAEA from practicing neutrality,” this is evident that the US is eyeing on Iran’s natural resources not the nuclear activities.
Referring to sanctions imposed upon Iran, the Indian Muslim leader while rejecting those, said: “Sanctions imposed on the countr aim to curtail Iran’s autonomy, to create political differences in the leadership and the resentment in the general public”. But the display of courage and commitments of the Iranian leadership and general public has defeated the sanctions tool,” concluded Zafrul./end
