President: Nuclear Science Highly Capable Of Serving Mankind

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said nuclear science and technology is of great potential to render service to the mankind. The president made the remarks here Tuesday in a ceremony commemorating the National Day of Nuclear Technology. Families of the Iranian martyred nuclear scientists were also present in the ceremony. During the ceremony, the President also unveiled five nuclear medicines. He noted that the Iranian nation keeps gaining new achievements. He further pointed out that Iran’s first nuclear power plant managed to achieve its nominal capacity last year (ended March 20, 2013) and is to raise the nation’s capacity for producing nuclear electricity to up to 20,000 megawatts.
