Azerbaijani President receives Astrium CEO and Director of International Development at EADS

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 15 / Trend / President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received President and CEO of Astrium company Francois Auque and Director of International Development at European Aeronautic Defense and Space company Jean-Pierre Talamoni. Attending the event, French ambassador to the country Pascal Meunier hailed the launch of Azerbaijan`s communications satellite as a historical event. The ambassador noted the French government would continue to support Azerbaijan in implementation of space programs. Francois Auque said Astrium was one of the largest space companies in Europe, and informed Azerbaijani President about company's projects. President Ilham Aliyev described the launch of Azerbaijan`s first communications satellite as a new stage of development of space industry. Ilham Aliyev said France was one of the main partners of Azerbaijan in a number of fields. The Head of State expressed hope the cooperation in development of information and communication technologies and space technology would continue. Do you have any feedback?
