Polish minister meets Saudi businessmen
Riyadh, Nov 4, SPA -- Polish minister of treasury Aleksander Grad met
here today with the Saudi businessmen.
Speaking on the occasion, Eng. Saad al-Mijil, the deputy chairman of
the board of directors of the chamber of commerce and industry of
Riyadh, hoped that the meeting would yield positive results and lead
to further boosting volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and
Poland.
On his part, the Polish minister urged the Saudi businessmen to
invest in Poland and work for enhancing partnership between the Saudi
and Polish companies through implementing joint projects.
He confirmed that Poland is not passing financial crisis, and added
that the Polish privatization program includes about 200 big and
medium companies.
He said next year will witness the privatization of the entire
chemicals sector.
Grad pointed out that his country is planning to privatize the
electricity sector as well as the airlines and the sector of ship
building.
The minister reiterated that the banking sector in Poland does not
face the menace of the financial crisis and added that 'only two
banks are facing crisis, but it is a limited crisis'.
The Polish delegation includes representatives of five companies and
about 20 senior governmental officials and officials of companies.
