Khalifa Foundation distributes food aid in Yemen

Sana’a: May 21, 2013 (WAM) - The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KF) is exerting relentless efforts to reach the poorest families in Yemen in order to deliver food aid as per then directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s Dhs500m donation. The chairman of the Khalifa Foundation in Yemen said that the team, which distributed 20,000 food baskets within the sixth phase among poor families in Sana’a, is now looking for the poorest families in order to meet their basic needs. He added that the foundation’s team made a field survey in remote areas of Sana’a so as to review their humanitarian situation and needs. The team delivered humanitarian food assistance to needy families. The beneficiaries extended their thanks to Sheikh Khalifa for his benevolence, lauding the UAE’s charitable stances towards the Yemeni people. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
