FINANCIAL CRISIS SHOULD BE OBAMA'S IMMEDIATE CONCERN, SAYS M'SIAN PM
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- The financial crisis, which originated from the US, should be President-elect Barack Obama's immediate concern, said Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
"Everybody is talking about the economic crisis, which originated from the
US. I think this should be his immediate concern," he told reporters at the
Lower House of Parliament Wednesday, when asked on what should be Obama's top
priority.
Abdullah said there were already high optimism and expectation worldwide of
Obama providing solutions to some of the pressing and burning issues that the
world was facing today, including the financial crisis.
Obama secured 338 electoral votes compared to John McCain's 156 to to
become
the 44th president of the US.
