NATO: Georgian government's Euro-Atlantic integration policy invariable

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 3 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia / Special Representative of the Secretary General of NATO in the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai is glad that in terms of integration into Euro-Atlantic structures the policy line of the new government of Georgia is invariable. Georgia's progress is developing in a non-stop regime, which derives from the direction of the security of the country and is expressed in a desire to join the alliance, Appathurai told reporters on Monday before the International Seminar 'Informing the public about the process of integration into NATO'. "NATO adheres to the decision adopted at the Bucharest summit - Georgia will become a member of NATO, and for this it is necessary to continue the initiated reforms. At the same time, the population's awareness of the alliance should be increased," Appathurai said. Do you have any feedback? Contact our journalist at agency@trend.az
