1st VP Felicitates Muslim Nations On Start Of Ramadan

Tehran, July 10, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi, in separate messages to his counterparts in Islamic countries, felicitated the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. In his messages, Rahimi congratulated all Muslim nations and governments on the auspicious occasion. He expressed hope that during the holy month of Ramadan, all Islamic states would witness strengthening of brotherhood, friendship and solidarity. The holy fasting month of Ramadan started in Iran Wednesday (July 10) and will last for 30 days this year. The advent of Ramadan may vary from country to country depending on the situation of the moon. Since the new moon is not in the same state at the same time globally, the beginning and ending dates of Ramadan depend on what lunar sightings are received in each location./end
