RCA concludes its Ramadan projects in Kurdistan region of Iraq

Erbil, Aug 11, 2013 (WAM): The UAE Consulate General in Erbil in Kurdistan has completed its Ramadan charity programmes sponsored by the UAE charity and humanitarian bodies. The Ramadan programmes concluded with the distribution of Zakat (Alms) donated by the UAE Red Crescent RCA) to the needy Syrian families. Over 900 people at the Syrian refugee camps benefited from the programme. The Government of Kurdistan Region thanked the UAE for its initiatives and humanitarian projects provided to the Syrian people. Rashid Mohammed Al Mansouri, UAE Consul General in Erbil thanked the Government of Kurdistan for facilitating the work of the UAE charity and humanitarian bodies to discharge their work successfully there. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
