On the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issues, the Cabinet underlined
the results of the 27th meeting of the ministers of interior of Gulf
Cooperation Council countries which was concluded in Doha and
stressed the importance of constant security coordination and
cooperation among the GCC countries. The Cabinet also emphasized its
firm stands on renouncing all forms of violence, extremism and
terrorism and its support for all regional and international efforts
aiming at fighting terrorism which has become an international
phenomenon threatening security, peace and stability.

renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to playing its role
in
curbing climate changes, supporting scientific research and
technological development and implementing many initiatives such as
the king's directive to provide 300 million US dollars to support the
efforts of research and development concerning energy and
environment; his establishment of King Abdullah Center for Petroleum
Studies and Research, among others. The Cabinet also affirmed the
announcement by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources before
the high level conference on climate change which was opened in
Beijing on Friday on the need for a new institutional body within the
framework of the conference of the parties to the framework agreement
on climate change to tackle all issues concerning the research on
technology, its development, transfer, dissemination and building
capabilities.
