ONE KILLED IN BOMB BLAST IN MALUKU
Ambon, Maluku, Nov 11 (antara) - A bomb explosion rocked Central Maluku district, Maluku province at 1 local time on Tuesday, killing one person, police said.
Maluku Police Spokesman Adjunct Senior Commissioner Johanes Huwae said that the blast took place in the border area of Hitulama and Hitumessing villages in Central Muluku district.
He said that the bomb blast could trigger new tension between the two villages.
Residents of the two villages were involved in physical clashes last week when two people were killed, seven injured and two houses were set ablaze.
Chief of Ambon Police Precinct Adjunct Senior Commissioner Didiek Widjanarko observed the blast site, but could not be reached through his cellular phone for comments.
It was reported that the identity of the dead victim was still unknown.
