VIETNAMESE ANTI CORRUPTION AGENCY DELEGATION VISITING JAKARTA
Jakarta, Nov 11 (ANTARA) - A five-man delegaion of the Vietnamese government's anticorruption agency is currently visiting Jakarta to exchange information on corruption figthing methods with Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"We came here to enhance cooperation in corruption eradicating method because we know KPK has experience in fighting corruption," Deputy General Inspector Le Tien Hao, the leader of the Vietnamese delegation told the press at the KPK Building here Tuesday.
The delegation of Vietnam's Inspectorate General was also visiting Indonesia to reciprocate a visit to Vietnam by a few KPK officials some time ago, he said.
In 2007, the Vietnamese agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with KPK for cooperation in corruption eradicating methods and exchange of information. Another agreement was signed by the two sides in May 2008, he said.
The four other members of the Vietnamse delegation were Do Duy Phuc, deputy general director of bureau 3, Le Hon Linh, deputy general director of department 1, Tran Cong Hung, bilateral relations division head, international affairs department, and Nguyen Duy Kinh, deputy division chief, anti corruption bureau.
"This is our first visit to Indonesia. We will be here for four days and spend most of this time at the KPK office," Le Tien Hao said.
