Kazakhstan, U.S. discuss issues of counter terrorism and extremism

Kazakhstan, Astana, October 31/ Trend D.Mukhtarov / Kazakh Prosecutor General Ashat Daulbaev and the U.S. Charge d'Affairs John Ordway discussed the issues of fighting against extremism and terrorism, the agency's press-service reported. "During the meeting an interested negotiation and exchange of views on the issues of mutual interest took place. The parties expressed satisfaction with the achieved level of interaction, discussed prospects of further cooperation within the cooperation agreements signed earlier. They also discussed a large spectrum of issues including in the sphere of fighting against transnational crime, terrorism and extremism," the report said. The Prosecutor General also talked about the main directions of supervisory and human rights activities of Kazakhstan's prosecutor bodies, emphasizing that protection of human rights is the subject of prosecutors' special attention. Greeting the guest, Ashat Daulbaev congratulated John Ordway with re-appointment and wished success in diplomatic career, stressing that the diplomat's gained working experience In Kazakhstan and other CIS countries will give an additional impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
