Mohamed bin Zayed receives Guinea president and Pakistan delegation

HH General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Alpha Conde, president of Guinea. Conde is currently on a visit to the UAE to participate in Conference on Partnership, Development and Investment in Guinea, recently organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Sheikh Mohammad and Guinea’s president explored avenues of cooperation and ways to develop bilateral relations in all domains in the best interests of both nations and people. They exchanged views on a number of topics of mutual concern. Conde expressed his appreciation of the UAE’s interest in supporting Guinea’s economy through economic partnership between the public and private sector. Sheikh Mohammad also received a Pakistani delegation led by Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan, and the special envoy by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Mohammad welcomed Pakistani delegates and discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan, and ways to strengthen them on the basis of special friendship relations and mutual interests. They explored avenues of cooperation and stressed the importance of enhancing them to fulfil the aspirations of both friendly people and drive UAE-Pakistan relations and cooperation towards wider horizons. The Pakistani delegation thanked the UAE for its humanitarian stands towards the Pakistani people, a fact that is clearly manifested in the UAE Project to Pakistan, and many other charitable programmes and projects that aim to alleviate the suffering of people affected by natural calamities, as well as the various initiatives implemented by the UAE in education, health, services and infrastructure. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
