Abu Dhabi: His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has affirmed that the UAE, thanks to its clear vision, wise leadership, loyal and sincere nationals who work in line with a national strategy, is able to win international competitions. In his statements to the media during the 42nd UAE National Day celebrations, His Highness the Crown Prince said, "I congratulate President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of UAE on this blessed national occasion. The nation is united thanks to the spirit of Emiratis and their prudent leadership." Speaking on the popular participation in the National Day celebration by residents alongside nationals, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said, "Today we have many things that are sources of happiness and pride for us. This was only possible by the help of God, the wisdom of the leadership and the activeness of the men who follow it on the way to achieve the goals which are in the best interest of the nation and its people." "The UAE is fine thanks to its loyal people and to the residents who hail from across the globe. Today we see our brothers and friends share the joy with us and with the nationals of our country. Many of those brothers and friends wish for the best for this nation." "No doubt, the UAE, in the 50 past years, has benefited from residents. We should remember and note that they made efforts and took part in building this nation alongside Emiratis." Commenting on the UAE's successful bid to host the world EXPO 2020 in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said, "No doubt that many of our Arab brothers and many of our friends consider that the UAE and Dubai are capable of engaging in competitions in different spheres. We competed and won the bid to host the headquarters of International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) although we faced competition from major countries. Today we competed and won the bid to host EXPO. Seven years to go to 2020, a period during which we will prove to the world that we deserve to host this event." "Thanks to its unique development experience, the UAE has become a role model, thanks to help from God, to the vision of its wise leadership and to the loyal people who back this leadership."
