Iran’s Oil Minister Off To Vienna For OPEC Meeting

Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA – Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh left Tehran for Vienna Tuesday morning to take part in the 164th session of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) there. The meeting will open on Wednesday in the organization headquarters in the Austrian capital. It is to make decision on the future production policies of the member states in a closed-door meeting Wednesday afternoon which will be attended by the oil ministers and the OPEC secretary general. The participants will also exchange views on election of a new chief for the organization. Iran has proposed former oil minister Gholamhossein Nozari as a candidate for the position./end
