Azerbaijani president attends opening of Dada Gorgud Park in Baku

Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 13 Trend: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening ceremony of the Dada Gorgud Park in Baku. The Azerbaijani president toured the park. The Dada Gorgud Park occupies a total area of six hectares. Made by Honor Artist, sculptor Gorush Babayev, the monument was erected in the center of the park. The park has a lake, a modern waterfall, and pedestrian bridges. President Ilham Aliyev unveiled the monument. Prior to the opening ceremony, the president met the country`s educational and cultural figures, and scholars, and also made a speech at the event. Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, People's writer Anar, corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor Kamal Abdullayev and Gorush Babayev thanked the president.
