SAUDI DAILY AND RI'S HAJJ MEDIA CENTER ESTABLISH COOPERATION
Mecca, Nov. 19 (ANTARA) -Saudi daily Al Nadwah and the Indonesian Hajj Media Center in Saudi Arabia have agreed to establish reporting cooperation during the 2008 Hajj session.
The Saudi government hoped to provide information on Hajj as best as possible to Hajj pilgrims from Indonesia, which had sent the largest number of pilgrims to Saudi, Al Nadwah Chief Editor Ahmad bin Salah Bayusuf said in a meeting with the Indonesian Hajj Media Center delegation led by Ahmad Gufron here last Monday.
Al-Nadwah has published additional pages on Indonesian language during the Hajj pilgrimage season since four years ago, according to Dr Fahmi, an Indonesian national who works as an editor in the Saudi daily.
However, starting this year, with the support of the Saudi information minister, Al-Nadwah will regularly publish Indonesian language pages even outside the Hajj pilgrimage season, according to DR Fahmi.
The Saudi newspaper to be distributed free of charge of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims, publishes news among other things on Hajj activities and Saudi regulations on manpower.
This year, around 202,000 Indonesians are to perform Hajj pilgrims in Saudi.
The world's largest Muslim populated Indonesia is also one of the largest suppliers of migrant workers to Saudi Arabia.
