FNC passes two draft laws on federal and independent budgets

Abu Dhabi: The Federal National Council (FNC) held its 4th meeting of the 3rd ordinary for the 13th legislative chapter on Tuesday under the chairmanship of its Speaker Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr. The Council endorsed two draft federal laws pertaining to additional allocations for the federal budget and budgets of autonomous entities for the fiscal year 2013 and appropriations for the same. Present during the session were Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for FNC Affairs and Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs. The FNC also agreed to send a letter to the Minister of State for FNC Affairs to demand a clear mechanism for following up the Council's recommendations and their submission to the cabinet. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
