Number of livestock reaches 3.75 million in Arkhangai

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ By a preliminary report on livestock statistics, the number of livestock in Arkhangai aimag has reached three million 750 thousand and 790 heads. According to the report, the number of camel increased by 2.6%, horse--11.9%, cow--by 14.8%, sheep--by 10.7% and goat--by 7.6%. The aimag’s Khashaat, Ogiinuur and Olziit soums augmented the number of all kinds of livestock. Erdenemandal soum increased the largest number of livestock (369 thousand and 135 heads), being followed by Battsengel (292 thousand and 101) and Ikhtamir soums (256 thousand and 373).
