Abu Dhabi Police installs defibrillator in Al Ain Mall

Al Ain (WAM): The Emergency and Public Safety Department at Abu Dhabi Police has installed a defibrillator in Al Ain Mall, in the Al Ain region. The move comes in response to the instructions given by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, to install defibrillators in public places across the UAE A special team from the Emergency and Public Safety Department has taken the responsibility of training the Al Ain Mall staff on how to operate the device for the benefit of mall's customers. The Emergency and Public Safety Department had already installed defibrillator in Marina Mall, Al Khalidiyah Mall, Al Wahda Mall, the Abu Dhabi Mall, and the Mushrif Mall. Devices were also installed in the Bawabat Al Sharq Mall in Bani Yas City and the Al Ain Zoo in addition to five locations in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Qaiwain, Ras al-Khaimah, and Fujairah this month. The defibrillator is used when there are symptoms of circulatory failure in a person with suspected heart failure. The symptoms include fainting, irregular breathing, a weak or absent pulse, or the absence of circulatory activity indicators. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
