UN praises role of Sheikha Fatima in areas of support and empowerment of women

Sayed Agha, U.N. Resident Co-ordinator and UNDP Resident Representative, has praised the efforts of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women's Union, and President of the Family Development Foundation, in the area of support and empowerment of Emirati women. The UN official praised Sheikha Fatima during a meeting which was held by the Office of the United Nations Development Programme in the UAE and the Department of Media and External Cooperation at the General Women's Union. Sayed Agha praised the effort of the General Women's Union and its services to support women and upgrade their capabilities. The meeting looked at ways of enhancing joint cooperation and future projects in all areas of empowerment of women between the General Women's Union and the United Nations Development Programme.
