Abdullah bin Zayed visits Strata in Al Ain

Abu Dhabi (WAM): H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister has visited Strata Manufacturing PJSC (Strata), where he was greeted by the Badr Salim Al Olama, CEO of Strata Manufacturing, and a number of the company's executive directors.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah viewed a presentation on the company's work in composite aerostructures manufacturing and visited the laboratory where all raw materials of aerostructures manufacturing are tested for failures.
Later, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah visited the area dedicated for the preparation of raw lightweight material, such as carbon fibre, glass fibre and honeycomb carbon composite, for use in aerostructures where they are sent to the "clean room", a facility with controlled temperature, humidity and pressure in order to prevent any pollution to the materials during processing.
He also viewed what is known as the 'nitrogen furnace' where soft carbon fibre and glass fibre materials are transformed into aerostructures which then will be tested by the naked eye to make sure they are free of failures and cracks.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah then visited the Strata's testing zone where aerostructures undergo a variety of tests using different machines before they are assembled and covered with multi-layer paint.
In his remarks during the tour, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah expressed admiration of the advanced aerostructures manufacturing facility and praised it for huge development and high quality and efficiency of products.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah also praised STRATA's efforts to attract as many Emiratis as possible into this vital industry.
Strata Manufacturing PJSC (Strata) was established in 2010 as a composite aerostructures manufacturing facility based in Al Ain. Strata is wholly-owned by Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company.
