ANTI-GRAFT BODY GRILLS MINISTER PASKAH SUZETTA
Jakarta, Nov. 28 (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) grilled State Minister of Development Planning/Chairman of the National Development Board Paskah Suzetta here on Friday.
"He was grilled as a witness," Johan Budi, KPK spokesman, said here on Friday.
According to Budi, Suzetta was grilled as a witness in the cases of four suspects in the illegal Rp100 billion Indonesian Banking Development Foundation (YPPI) funds transfer case.
The four suspects were Aulia Pohan, Maman H. Somantri, Bun Bunan Hutapea, and Aslim Tadjuddin, who were former deputy governors of Bank Indonesia (BI).
In previous corruption court trials, it was established that Paskah Suzetta had received Rp1 billion of the YPPI funds from member of parliament (MP) Hamka Yandhu.
The court also learned that Suzetta had held a meeting with several BI officials to discuss efforts to settle the illegal YPPI funds transfer case.
Paskah Suzetta was previously grilled by KPK and had testified in the corruption court trials several times. Suzetta, a former chairman of the House of Representatives (DPR)'s Commission IX, always denied his involvement in the case.
The KPK on Thursday (Nov. 27) detained Aulia Pohan, the father-in-law of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's eldest son, Aslim Tadjuddin, Maman H. Somantri, and Bun Bunan Hutapea
