UAE RCA implements Dh22 million service and development projects in Palestine

Abu Dhabi (WAM): As per the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and President of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA), the UAE RCA is implementing service and development projects in a number of areas of the West Bank in Palestine. The Authority has embarked on the implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan in cooperation and coordination with the Palestine Tomorrow Foundation, which has made appeals for humanitarian contributions for improving the lives of people in those areas and promoting developments there. The Authority approved Dh 22.38 million for these projects, which include the development of the agriculture sector and improving water and electricity networks in areas where the population has experienced significant humanitarian and economic challenges. Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the UAE RCA, said that these initiatives reflect the interest of the UAE to support the Palestinian people and improve their living conditions in order to alleviate their ongoing suffering. Dr. Mohamed Atiq Al Falahi Secretary-General of the RCA, emphasised that the RCA's projects to improve the agriculture sector in Palestine aims to contribute in achieving social, psychological and economic security for farmers and empower them to depend on themselves and to promote their ability to product and develop, as well as to achieve a sense of satisfaction. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
