Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan discuss plant construction for ferrocaluminium silicon production

Astana, Kazakhstan, June 12 By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend: The delegation of the Kazakh Minister of Industry and New Technologies discussed the issue of the construction of the plant on the production of ferrocaluminium silicon in the Tash-Kumyr city (Jalal-Abad region) with the Kyrgyz Prime Minister Joomart Otorbaev in Bishkek, the Kazakh ministry`s press-service reported. "New and unique world technology will be introduced at this plant for getting "Kazakh" alloy - ferrocaluminium silicon developed by Kazakh scientists," the press service said. Ferrocaluminium silicon - "Kazakh" alloy is used for deoxidation of steel, as a restorer in electrothermal processes and explosives. The "Kazakh" alloy has received European patent, the patents of the South Africa, Algeria, Mexico, China, Japan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. In accordance with the results of ThyssenKrupp`s market research on the promotion of the new alloy to the world market, today the confirmed demand for "Kazakh" alloy makes up 800,000 tonnes per year, and it is expected to increase up to 6 million tonnes per year in the future. Alloy has been successfully tested on a number of major steel companies in the world, including Thyssen Krupp (Germany), POSCO (South Korea), Celac oglu (Turkey). Tests on the smelting alloy at the furnaces with high capacity.have been conducted at the Ligas Gerais Eletrometalurgia Ltda. (Brazil). Industrial production of this unique alloy started in "KSPSteel" LLP (Pavlodar, Kazakhstan) in 2013. Edited by CN Follow us on Twitter @TRENDNewsAgency
