Saudi Arabia chairs Arab Economic and Social Council session

Cairo, December 01, SPA -- Saudi Arabia will chair the Extraordinary
session of the Arab Economic and Social Council at the level of
finance and economy ministers which will be held here on Thursday at
the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

The Council will undertake a comprehensive review of the
preparations for holding the Arab summit on economic and social
development to be held in Kuwait on January 19 and 20 next year.


Ambassador Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Tuweijiri Arab League's Assistant
Secretary-General for Economic Affairs said that the meeting is to
prepare a draft agenda for the summit as well as the meeting of the
Preparatory Committee at the level of senior officials in addition to
a meeting at the Ministers level.
