STATE PRIZES AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The leader of Mongolia issued a decree on Wednesday to award some people on occasion of the 2,223rd anniversary of the first Mongolian Statehood--the Hun empire, the 808th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and the 93rd anniversary of the Mongolian People’s Revolution. The title of Hero of Labour was bestowed upon veteran A.Tseveen, a State Honored Sportsman and champion of national archery. The title of People’s Teacher was given to A.Baskhuu, a general coach of the national selected team for wrestling, Sports Training Center, and to J.Nyamsuren, a teacher at the Institute of Finance and Economics (IFE). A teacher at the Mongolian University of Arts and artistic manager of the Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet A.Dashpeljee became the People’s Artist. The title of State Honored Artist went to D.Otgonbayar, a guitarist at the “Khurd” rock band. State Honored Titles of teacher, coach, herder, pilot, mechanic, cultural worker, artistic worker, transporter, service worker, medical doctor, scientific and industrial figures, environmental worker, economist and medical expert were given to others. The Order of Sukhbaatar was bestowed upon Gavj D.Choijamts, His Highness of the Gandantegchilen Monastery, and S.Dambadarjaa, a member of the Steering Council of the IFE and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. The Red Flag Order of Labout Merit went to B.Tutev, a retired railway worker; B.Jigjidsuren, a veteran from Sukhbaatar district; and S.Tserennadmid, a member of the Steering Council of the Union of Politically Repressed People. The Polar Star Order went to four people, the Honorary Medal of Labour and the Honorary Medal of Military--to others.
