RESTORATION OF AZERBAIJAN`S HISTORIC-CULTURAL MONUMENTS DESTROYED AS A RESULT OF ARMENIA`S OCCUPATION IS IMPORTANT
Baku, 02 December,(AzerTAj)Restoration of Azerbaijan`s historic-cultural monuments destroyed in the wake of Armenia`s occupation is important, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Terry Davis said Tuesday at a press-conference.
According to him, though the Organization has cancelled sending a mission to Azerbaijan on restoration of historical monuments, the issue is still on the agenda.
Terry Davis stressed he supports the mission`s studying the situation on the issue
in an unbiased way.
He also underscored that the Council of Europe continues its efforts to resolve the
Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Touching upon the importance of the Baku conference, the Secretary General
emphasized that the “world needs an intercultural dialogue.”
