Emirates Red Crescent continues humanitarian efforts in Gaza

The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, is continuing its humanitarian relief efforts in the Gaza Strip by distributing food, water and other essential supplies to displaced Gazans taking shelter in UNRWA-run schools, and to those staying with relatives following the recent violence. Imad Abu Al Laban, ERC Director in Gaza, said that the organisation yesterday distributed 13,000 packages, including five thousand food baskets containing fresh and canned food products, enough to feed a family of seven for a week. Al Laban went on to say that four thousand packages containing clothes and blankets, as well as four thousand kits containing toiletry requisites such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and other grooming tools, were also given out to affected families.
