TV CHANNEL TO BROADCAST FIBA BASKETBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The TV-9 channel of Mongolia has received an official right to broadcast the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup which will run August 30-September 14 in Spain. The work is to be done in association with the MCS Coca Cola company, Skytel LLC, MNBA Sport TV and Mongolian National Basketball Association (MNBA). Presenters of the broadcasting have been selected--a coach Ts.Tseverbal and officials of the MNBA B.Damba and S.Tulga. They will present everyday matches at 7.30 pm, 10.30 pm and 03.00 am by the UB time, according to the schedule. The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup matches will take place in Madrid, Barcelona, Barakaldo, Granada and Seville cities. This is the last time for the tournament to be held on the current four-year cycle. The next FIBA World Cup will take place five years later, in 2019, to reset the four-year-cycle on a different year than the FIFA World Cup. The championship winner will automatically qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. If Brazil wins the tournament, the runner-up will qualify for the 2016 Olympics as Brazil is already qualified as host country of the Olympics.
